You Rock: Dena Kropman
Each month Winona Woods recognizes an ordinary person who does extraordinary things. This month’s You Rock comes from Anne Johnson and goes out to our neighbor, Dena Kropman
Anne writes:
I nominate Dena Kropman for the YOU ROCK award. Dena is one of the kindest, most generous people you will ever meet! Dena raised 4 amazing children! She has a generous nature that is contagious.
Dena is a second grade teacher at Southlawn and an amazing advocate for her students. She works tirelessly to make sure they receive the services that they need. But even more importantly she makes sure they aren’t at school hungry. Many don’t realize how many children go to school hungry but for Dena its like a mission to make sure it doesn’t happen in her school.
Dena is also our hero at Irondequoit Community Cupboard for her amazing work at the holidays. Thanks to all her effort every year kids in our community have presents under the tree & a meal on the table.
I’m sure if you have lived in Irondequoit for any length of time you have crossed her path. Just another amazing person living right here in Winona Woods!
Dena, now its your turn to recognize someone else! You have 30 days to write contact@winonawoods.com with your nomination, an image and three reasons that a fellow Winona Woods resident rocks!
