Child Safety: Back to School
With the school year in full swing – either fully remote, hybrid (2 or 4 day), or home school – please keep the following tips in mind:
- Slow down and be on the look-out for children walking or riding their bikes to school. Nothing is so important that you could spare a couple extra minutes by slowing down to save a child from injury or death.
- If you own a corner lot home and have bushes, plants, or trees that are blocking or making it difficult to see sidewalk or street traffic, please cut them back. There are a few in our neighborhood so if you need help, let us know so that we can assist. Again, blind spots are extremely dangerous and could be the cause of a horrible accident.
- Be on the lookout for suspicious activity, get involved, and protect our children. If you see something that is not normal or could be harmful – report it and step in to help.
- Masks – what are the best ones? There are so many on the market now but are they safe? Here is a very simple and short video that may be helpful.

Remember to wash your hands, wear a mask, and social distance for all our safety😊
