Volunteer with Rochester Marathon September 26th
There is a need for Road Marshal Volunteers on September 26. Let’s be the neighborhood that not only supports the marathon but help makes it happen. Yellowjackets (the organizers of the marathon) need of approximately 20 volunteers to cover all the side street intersections along St. Paul. To sign up please use the link below and in the note section be sure to indicate street preference. The half- marathon is a fairly short race so your time commitment would be 7:30 am to around 10:30 am. Just enough time to cheer on the runners, have a cup or two of coffee and eat all the pastries you can carry!!!! Gail and/or Jim will be personally stopping by each street corner in our neighborhood to cheer the road marshals on and thank you for your support (you don’t want to miss that – always surprises).
Duties involve cheering on the runners while monitoring traffic at a side street intersection. This role allows for the flexibility of volunteers to be involved while maintaining safety standards as they see fit regarding social distancing and mask wearing. Keeping our runners, our neighbors and ourselves safe!
