Winona Watch Foot Patrol

 

Many folks have expressed interest in volunteering for the Winona Watch Foot Patrol. As a result the neighborhood watch team has developed a sign up calendar. Based on the amount of interest we have noted, if each individual committed to patrol just twice each month our calendar would be more than covered.

Anyone can sign up to patrol, in an effort to make participation easy and encourage as many residents to join in as possible we have made the requirements very flexible. To this end, there are no set routes or times. You may walk any route you like at any time convenient to you. We ask only that you are out for at least 20 minutes and that you are on the lookout for anything that appears out of sorts. This can even be done as a part of your usual jog or dog walking routine.

If anything is spotted, please call 911 to immediately report it afterwards, please update us at winonawoodswatch@gmail.com. The expectation of the foot patrol is to be extra eyes and ears only, DO NOT INTERVENE or put yourself in any uncomfortable or unsafe positions.
